Editorial Board Responsibilities

The editorial board consists of a group of academics specialized in the fields of Sciences related to the Journal, and is led by the editor-in-chief, who has the final authority to determine the extent to which research belongs to the scope of the Journal and decide on its acceptance or rejection in principle.

The commission is committed to applying the policies adopted by the Libyan Geographical Society in its capacity as the official publisher, and to working in accordance with international standards and national regulations related to copyright and scientific research ethics.

The authority's tasks are to initially review the submitted papers in terms of originality and scientific value and approve them for publication controls in the journal, then refer them to specialized arbitrators who are carefully and impartially selected, while maintaining the confidentiality of the identity of the authors and ensuring the objectivity of the arbitration process. The authority is committed to relying on the arbitrators ' reports in making final editorial decisions.

The authority is also responsible for using reliable plagiarism detection programs to ensure the authenticity of the submitted works, and not to authorize any research that violates the standards of scientific integrity. In the event of a financial, personal or institutional conflict of interest, members are obliged to disclose it and avoid participating in the relevant decisions.

The authority is keen on the confidentiality of unpublished research, it is not allowed to use or circulate it without the written permission of the authors. It also seeks to communicate effectively with researchers during the review and editing process for any matter that requires it.
